Youtube is so much fun and addictive, search for your interest and it just doesn't let you get out of the bubble. It keeps suggesting different videos related to your interests and you keep falling into this vicious circle. Trust me, it’s really difficult to get out of it!

Youtube is an amazing platform to promote a business or just have fun with vlogs or funny videos.

Now, how to start a youtube channel? What all is needed to be successful? Many such questions might be revolving around your head, let me answer them.

First of all, you do not need a studio or expensive lighting, if you already have it, well and good but it’s not a necessity. You can shoot videos in the most appealing corner of your house that is well lit and you are good to go.

Youtube can help you reach people who aren't connected to you and therefore grow your circle. This is a good way for brands to grow their customer base.

How to start a YouTube channel

Choose your content type

What type of content would you be providing on your channel should be the first question and no, it does not mean you can not experiment with it. You can always come up with new ideas and try new content types but to begin with, you need a primary content type for your channel, for example - fitness videos, travel vlogs, product reviews, etc.

The next thing to do is do some research about your audience and what they are interested in, also your content, and how to keep them hooked up to it!

Serve your audience with what they would like to see and even keep attracting new ones.

Watch your content from your viewer’s perspective, this will help you gain an insight into it.

Now that you know what your audience expects from you, it’s time to plan your content,

Try not to make very long videos and keep it short and sweet.

Use the right title, thumbnail, and tags so as to attract the right audience.

Upload more often so that your audience doesn’t get bored. Don’t get me wrong, you do not have to upload a lot too. Find that perfect balance in between.

Connect with your audience through the comment section or giveaways or shoutouts. Interaction keeps your audience hooked and more connected to your content.

Keep checking the analytics to keep up with your audience and to see what type of content is working the best for you.

At the end of the day, content is the key. Keep providing good content!!
